Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of TeleprompterLab. By using the site, you agree to them. We've kept them as plain as we can.
Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using TeleprompterLab (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. The service
TeleprompterLab is a free, browser-based teleprompter. It runs in your browser and does not require an account. We provide it on an "as available" basis and may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice.
3. License to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own lawful purposes, including commercial video production. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the Service, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any applicable law or regulation;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- distribute malware or attempt to interfere with the Service's operation or security; or
- misrepresent the Service as your own product.
5. Your content
Any script or text you enter or import remains yours. Because your content is stored only in your own browser and is never uploaded to us, we do not claim any rights over it and we have no access to it. You are solely responsible for the content you use with the Service and for keeping your own backups.
6. Intellectual property
The Service — including its name, design, layout, and code — is owned by TeleprompterLab and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without permission.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or accuracy. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser. Voice scroll depends on your browser's speech features and may not be available everywhere.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeleprompterLab and its maintainers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or content (including scripts), arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. The Service is free, and your use of it is at your own risk.
9. Third-party services
The Service may load third-party resources (such as web fonts) and rely on browser features (such as speech recognition) that are governed by their providers' own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
